Some of the biggest games for 2017

Below are some of the biggest games for 2017 that can surprise you so much

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Release date: March 2017

We’re just a day away from seeing the ‘first’ Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay footage, as BioWare keeps pretending its PlayStation Pro trailer doesn’t exist. Mostly, though, we’ve seen cinematic footage that continues to confirm the dump of information that slipped out a year ago on Reddit, supposedly via a marketing survey. We know that Andromeda takes place hundreds of years after Mass Effect 3, when humans and their alien allies arrive in a new galaxy. There will be mysterious ancient aliens, and alien baddies with alien exoskeletons, and space sex with aliens, surely.

A few more interesting details: BioWare says Andromeda is its biggest game, wewon’t be loading in elevators, and loyalty missions won’t define the end of the game—they can be played after the main story concludes. See all our stories in our Mass Effect: Andromeda hub, and look out for the new trailer tomorrow at the Game Awards.

BattleTech

Release date: TBA 2017

We've got high hopes the turn-based return of BattleTech. The folks at Harebrained Schemes have earned a reputation for producing great strategy RPGs from responsibly-run Kickstarter projects, and the best conceivable people are in the cockpit: BattleTech creator Jordan Weisman, Mike McCain (creative director on Shadowrun Returns), and Mitch Gitelman, who was game director on the wonderful MechCommander series. Check out my list of fun, weird and just plain amazing fact of life I have found.

The early prototype we played at PAX only featured one mission, but its internal structure seems sound. Harebrained's approach to translating BattleTech's tabletop ruleset shows reverence, but not at the expense of embracing new ideas: we're excited about the idea of light mechs having real utility as scouts and flankers in a turn-based game, where time and speed can be difficult to express. And because the map isn't on a grid, individual angles, rock formations, and details seem like they'll matter.

BattleTech met stretch goals that guarantee 1v1 PvP multiplayer, but we're glad that this game seems mostly focused on its singeplayer mercenary campaign. You'll be riding around in a massive dropship, which structurally seems like it'll resemble XCOM 2's modular base stations for managing mechs, pilots, and salvage.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Release date: TBA 2017

Part spectacle, part sim, part sandbox RPG, Mount & Blade remains a one-of-a-kind blend of systems and ideas. It's the thrill of being in a battle that's way bigger than you, of launching a single arrow into a horde of 50 dudes storming your castle. And it's the fun of being an average lord in a churning political and military sea of medieval NPCs.

The original (excluding Warband) is almost 10 years old, so as much as anything we're glad to see Bannerlord bringing a visual and technical overhaul to the series. Character customization, as we saw at the PC Gamer Weekender, offers enough flexibility to sculpt convincing dark ages replicas of Adam Driver, Vladimir Putin, Arnold, and others, but we're equally interested in the new item crafting system, which seems like it'll let you build weapons with personality and history. And lord, those sieges look nuts.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Release date: March 7, 2017

Take a big open world, stuff it with 100 Far Cry-type outpost missions, and jump in with some co-op partners—Tom Senior did just that back in June and found Ubisoft’s upcoming third-person tactical shooter full of enjoyable and emergent chaos. Ghost Recon: Wildlands takes place in a Bolivian landmass where four players comprise a military taskforce sent to disrupt a drug cartel and the government it’s aligned with. While players may have a specific missions—whether it’s to steal some intel or kidnap an informant—how they choose to tackle it is up to them. Guns blazing? Stealth? Or, as often happens, failed stealth that leads to guns blazing?

The open world—the first in Ghost Recon’s ten-game history—promises diverse environments like mountains, forests, and deserts, explorable by ground vehicles, helicopters, and parachutes. The setting is close to modern day, so weapons and gear aren’t as futuristic as they have been in earlier Recon games. Ubisoft is also promising that player choice will affect the world, and that non-violent interactions with NPCs like rebels and civilians can have an impact on missions and goals. And, if your pals aren’t around, you’ll be able to play solo using AI teammates in place of real ones. Would you like to get app, device and game reviews?

Prey

Release date: TBA 2017

New Prey has nothing to do with the old Prey, or Prey 2, which was cancelled back in 2014. Now in the hands of Arkane’s Austin studio, Prey is only familiar in name. Set in an alternate history where President Kennedy was never assassinated, the Soviets and the States continued their rivalry, until one took control of the Kletka Program, a space installation meant to control an alien threat. The project is eventually abandoned, and a corporation takes over (uh-oh), turning the station into “a cutting edge innovation center” called Talos 1. Big surprise, things don’t go well.

You play as Morgan Yu (male or female), who happens to be on board when the alien threat gets particularly threatening. From there, it’s a matter of survival and getting to the bottom of what went wrong. Expect plenty of shooting and exploration, and most interestingly, shape-shifting. You and the alien threat can take on nearly any form. An inconspicuous mug or trash bin might be an alien in wait, or if they’re hunting you down, try the mug life for yourself.

Divinity: Original Sin 2

Release date: TBA 2017

Early Access has already given us a taste of Original Sin 2, which could easily be the best RPG of 2017. Larian has heavily iterated on its dense turn-based battle system, adding an armor system, elevation, and bless and curse statuses that can completely turn your intentions on their head. Set fire to a pool of oil and it will burn your enemies alive—but if they bless it, suddenly it has healing properties. The most obvious change this go-round, though, is a heavier focus on writing and roleplaying, with a stable of writers including Chris Avellone bringing a darker tone and more racial tension into the opening hours of this story. It's a big shift, but the story ended up Original Sin's weakest link, and Larian seems determined not to repeat that mistake. Learn more about interesting science facts via our wide range of articles.

There's already working four-player co-op for a slice of Original Sin 2's first act, and the full game is out sometime in 2017. Larian's still being secretive about its planned Dungeon Master mode, but that may well turn OS2 into a canvas for our own RPG adventures.

Try out Fallout 4 on PlayStation 4

Let's try out Fallout 4 on  PlayStation 4, because it's already available for PlayStation 4 from now.

The announcement comes as something of a surprise, given a September blog post in which Bethesda squarely blamed Sony for the delayed promise of console mod support on the PlayStation 4, from hottestgameapp. "Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition," the publisher wrote. "Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive." Check out my list of fun, weird and just plain amazing fact of life I have found.

fallout 4 mods is available for playstation 4

The only limitation of Fallout 4 Mods for Playstation 4 version is that the file size for it is 1GB, though it is bigger than beta version (900MB), it still lower than for Xbox One version. Would you like to get free online games for kids ?

Xbox One owners have been enjoying the ability to use Fallout 4 mods since May, shortly after official mod support for the PC version of the game rolled out in April.

Rainbow Six Siege updated news

Get Rainbow Six Siege  information and updated news as right here in this article

As far as I'm concerned, Rainbow Six Siege is one of the best competitive shooters you can play at the moment, with its focused 5v5 tactical gameplay and methodical pace. So it's good news that Ubisoft plans to support the game for a second year, according to a tweet from the official account earlier today.

Check ou our fact of life to reach a rich source of amazing facts and news about animal, place, human and much more others.

There were hints last month that a new season might be coming, but it's good to have it confirmed. The new season was announced during a lengthy stream focused on the fourth (and previously, final) DLC pack, which is due later this month.

No word as yet on whether the second season will follow the format of the first, which included four new maps and eight new operators over the course of 2016. The season pass format will likely remain, with payers gaining early access to the new operators (and without the need to spend renown – the game's currency). Whatever the case, I'll add the details here as they come in.

Some of the most awesome sports games on NES Classic

Here are some of the most awesome sports games on NES Classic, let's have a look at now

Tecmo Bowl

Tecmo Bowl for the NES was actually the first console video game to include player names and likenesses, paving the way for more league licensing in the future. Make sure you pick up a second controller for your friends who have never played the game before, then just run the ball with Bo Jackson. It's as fun now as it was back in the late '80s.
You can also check out other updated news and facts to widen your mind.

Punch-Out!!

The licensing agreement with Tyson expired a while back, and Nintendo didn't renew it for a variety of reasons, both inside and outside of the ring.

The good news is that Punch Out!! remains one of the best twitch-reaction sports games ever made. Sure, Punch-Out!! can be brutal at times - it definitely has that classic NES difficulty to it -- it never seems unfair. It's always just frustrating enough to keep you coming back for more, as you try to learn your opponent's tells and perfect your timing. It's one of the few games that really perfects that feeling of being in the zone, in a completely focused state, reacting to the game as quickly as you can. It's super unique, and really holds up almost 30 years later.

Excitebike

Excitebike is a twitch reaction game that is incredibly unforgiving. The motocross game came along relatively early in the NES's lifespan, back in 1984. Though it's simple -- all you do is control your motorcycle and its speed - it's challenging to put everything together. In order to score a good time, you'll not only have to maintain a high speed, but you'll also have to keep from overheating and control your bike as you launch off jumps.

Ice Climber

Ice Climber is a simple, addictive arcade-style game that sees the player controlling two alpine adventurers, Popo and Nana (A+ naming, Nintendo), as they ascend a mountain infested with vegetable-stealing condors and polar bears wearing pink shorts and sunglasses. The goal of the game, ostensibly, is to summit 32 peaks to recover all of the vegetables that the condors have stolen. Just like real mountain climbers!

The game was a big hit when it launched in 1985, mixing puzzle and action game elements. It also didn't hurt that the game was included in an NES bundle in many countries across the world.

HOME SECURITY!

home-security-systems-770x586
If one reads the newspapers and watches the news, one can’t help but notice how petty crime is on the rise. One of the most common offences is breaking and entering, and with many careless homeowners leaving ground floor windows open, it is easy pickings for those who are inclined to steal.

The perpetrator
A person who makes a living breaking into houses and stealing is a thief, but that doesn’t make them stupid. The average burglar will do their work in broad daylight, and generally are extremely careful, and will not make a move unless they think all is well. The first thing is to watch the target location for a while, and notice anything important such as CCTV security systems, or security alarm housings, as these mean trouble. If a home is protected by video surveillance, the burglar is not interested in seeing if the windows and doors are locked, as they will be apprehended, even if they manage to steal something.

Split-second timing
The window of opportunity is what a burglar waits for, and if they are patient enough, the chance will eventually present itself. The first hurdle is to reach the rear of the property without being seen, and this only takes a few seconds. Once concealed behind the building, the burglar can usually gain access, if the windows and doors are not alarmed. The one thing that would stop them in their tracks is a CCTV camera, as this provides concrete evidence that they committed the crime.

Professional advice
Before embarking on a home security makeover, talk to the experts first. For those who live in Western Australia, Castle Security’s CCTV security system provides state-of-the-art surveillance, and with 24/7 coverage, the home is always protected. Typically, the home security expert would recommend CCTV rather than an alarm system, as it provides the necessary deterrent, and is the most cost-effective way to protect the home against a break-in.

Tailored solutions
CCTV can be customised, with as many cameras as is necessary, and of course, their location is important, and the security company would be experienced in placing the cameras for optimum visibility. The system works by sending the data to a central hard disk, which displays the camera fields in a split screen fashion on a single monitor located within the house. The hard drive is big enough to store hundreds of hours of footage, and automatically deletes old data when necessary.

Prominent display
In order for the deterrent value to be realised, the cameras should be in prominent view, which sends a very strong message to any would-be burglar. The security company would also supply CCTV stickers which should be placed on the front gate of the residence, in clear view. Perhaps one could stick that next to the picture of a growling Rottweiler, which would also make an intruder think twice.

Beefing up the home security is necessary in this day and age, and with so many unprotected homes, the burglar will not be too bothered about missing an opportunity, and will look for an easier target.

Why Do Tigers Sometimes Kill Their Babies?

Do you know the answer for question: Why do tigers sometimes kill their babies? This writing will help you

Image result for do tigers eat their cubs

Occasionall, tigers kill their babies. If a tiger's cubs are stillborn, or if they die, the mother will often eat them. She begins by licking them, trying to rouse them, and when the cubs do not respond, it seems to turn into a predatory response (big cats often lick their prey before beginning to feed). She may also kill and eat cubs which are weak or sickly, and are not likely to survive - many animals know when something is wrong with their young, even if they appear normal to human eyes. Eating cubs like this may be a way of recycling the nutrients the mother has lost nurturing them.
For more facts: tiger facts for kids

Male tigers will kill any cubs that are not their own if they can, and usually eat them. This is to reduce competition for themselves, and to bring the tigress into heat again so that he can mate with her and father his own young. Because male and female tigers do not live together, sometimes a male may accidentally kill cubs that he has fathered himself, but this does not happen often.

“Vitamin C” - Why it's important?

Do you want to know why do we need vitamin C ? Sources of Vitamin C, how much vitamin C do we need ? What if you take too much vitamin C and what are the symptoms and deficiencies due to lack of vitamin C ?

Image result for why vitamin c are important

The most prominent role of vitamin C is its immune-stimulating effect, e.g., important for defence against infections such as common colds. It also acts as an inhibitor of histamine, a compound that is released during allergic reactions. As a powerful antioxidant it can neutralize harmful free radicals and it aids in neutralizing pollutants and toxins. Thus it is able to prevent the formation of potentially carcinogenic nitrosamines in the stomach (due to consumption of nitrite-containing foods, such as smoked meat).

Importantly, Vitamin C is also able to regenerate other antioxidants such as vitamin E. Vitamin C is required for the synthesis of collagen, the intercellular ‘cement’ substance which gives structure to muscles, vascular tissues, bones, tendons and ligaments. Due to these functions, vitamin C – especially in combination with zinc – is also important for the healing of wounds.

In addition, vitamin C contributes to the health of teeth and gums, preventing haemorrhaging and bleeding. It also improves the absorption of iron from the diet. vitamin C is also needed for the metabolism of bile acids which may have implications for bloodcholesterol levels and gallstones. Moreover, vitamin C plays an important role in the synthesis of several important peptide hormones, neurotransmitters and carnitine.

Vitamin C is also a crucial factor in the eye's ability to deal with oxidative stress, and can delay the progression of advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and vision-loss.

In a nutshell, the main functions of vitamin C are:
  • Immune stimulation
  • Anti-allergic
  • Antioxidant
  • ‘Cement’ for connective tissues
  • Wound healing
  • Teeth and gum health
  • Iron absorption
  • Eye health

How did giraffes get so tall?

Learn all information you wanted about animals by this article, about giraffes, baby giraffe and how did they get so tall?
A giraffe's height is an evolutionary adaptation that allows it to feed from tall trees and other sources of vegetation. The long tongue of the giraffe, which can grow to 21 inches in length, is a similar adaptation designed for reaching difficult spots.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Why are giraffes so tall?

Giraffes can grow up to 19 feet in height and weigh nearly 3,000 pounds. While the giraffe's height is advantageous for eating and searching for predators, it also poses difficulty when the animal needs to drink from a watering hole. When kneeling, a giraffe must splay its legs, making the giraffe vulnerable to predators such as lions and crocodiles. Despite this, giraffes rarely need to drink and derive most of their water from vegetation.
Also see elephant facts

There are two main scientific theories as to why giraffes’ necks are so tall. The first was proposed by Charles Darwin and suggests that due to intense competition from rival creatures for foliage under two metres high, giraffes’ common ancestor slowly evolved a longer neck in order to access untapped leaf reserves – with only the more successful, longer necked animals feeding efficiently. The second theory is that giraffes evolved long necks as a secondary sexual characteristic, giving males an advantage in physical combat and therefore granting access to more sexually receptive females to reproduce.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Why are giraffes so tall?

Are there any disadvantages of being so tall? Actually, there are none! Giraffes rarely drink water, so they don't have to inconvenience themselves by spreading their front legs wide apart, bending their knees, and lowering their necks all the time. How do they survive then? Well, giraffes can get all the moisture they need from simply licking dew and eating plants. Because they can survive for a long time without drinking water, they don't have to join other savannah animals that migrate to other areas during the dry season.

Vitamin C can help reduce stress

Learn the way to reduce stress by through this writing: vitamin c can help reduce stress

Kết quả hình ảnh cho vitamin c helps reduce stress

It's already everybody's favorite nutritional supplement, linked, however controversially, to preventing the common cold and fighting cancer. But vitamin C recently added a new notch on its belt. The vitamin helps reduce both the physical and psychological effects ofstress on people.

People who have high levels of vitamin C do not show the expected mental and physical signs of stress when subjected to acute psychological challenges. What's more, they bounce back from stressful situations faster than people with low levels of vitamin C in their blood.

In one study German researchers subjected 120 people to a sure-fire stressor—a public speaking task combined with math problems. Half of those studied were given 1,000 mg of vitamin C. Such signs of stress as elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol and high blood pressure were significantly greater in those who did not get the vitamin supplement. Those who got vitamin C reported that they felt less stressed when they got the vitamin.

The researchers believe that vitamin C should be considered an essential part of stressmanagement.

Earlier studies showed that vitamin C abolished secretion of cortisol in animals that had been subjected to repeated stress. Cortisol is a hormone released by the adrenal glands in response to stress. Once it gets into the bloodstream, it is responsible for relaying the news of stress to all parts of the body and mind.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho vitamin c helps reduce stress

Cortisol is the hormone, for example, that triggers the "fight or flight" response to stress. That allows us to spring into action when we sense danger. But like many emergency-alert systems, the stress response comes at a considerable cost. Among other effects, frequent exposure to high levels of stress hormones exhausts the body's physical resources, impairs learning and memory, and makes people susceptible to depression.

In the animal studies, vitamin C fed to rats undergoing stress not only prevented the expected increase in cortisol levels, it prevented the animals from exhibiting the known signs of physical and emotional stress, including loss of body weight. Animals that did not receive vitamin C had three times the level of stress hormones.

The present RDA for vitamin C for adults is 60 milligrams—a far cry from the 1,000 mg found helpful in the stress study. But there's a growing belief that the RDA for vitamin C is vastly outdated. The current RDA was set decades ago and is based on the amount of the vitamin needed to ward off scurvy.

Current thinking looks at vitamin C from the opposite direction: The amount needed to promote health under varying environmental conditions. That appears to be a lot greater than the amount needed to prevent deficiencies.

There's also evidence suggesting that prehistoric humans consumed large amounts of vitamin C in a tropical diet rich in fresh fruits. If so, the physiological constitution we have inherited may require far larger daily doses of vitamin C than the current RDA, perhaps as high as 1,000 mg.

Vitamin C is present in fresh, uncooked fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits and red and green peppers. One eight-ounce glass of fresh orange juice provides 97 milligrams of the vitamin.

It's also found in papayas, cantaloupes, strawberries, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, asparagus and parsley. There's no vitamin C in animal food, and a small amount in raw fish.

An unstable substance, vitamin C is destroyed by cooking and exposure to light.

The most commonly consumed nutrient supplement, vitamin C comes in many formulations, but the best may be a time-released preparation that works over the course of a day, as the vitamin works rapidly and is short-acting. Alternatively, vitamin C supplements can be taken at intervals throughout the day.

Why do tigers climb trees?

Are you curious about tigers facts that why do tigers climb trees? Let's read and discover.

The tiger - a terrestrial cat:

Kết quả hình ảnh cho does tiger climb tree

Tigers are essentially terrestrial animals which confine climbing to their juvenile years:
They are very clumsy when aloft.
Despite their incredible muscle power tigers need to enter a tree at a run, being unable to simply pull themselves up in the manner used by leopards.
Also see elephant facts
They may get stuck in trees. Not being climbers by nature, it takes them time to learn the best way to descend is backwards.
Usually find that though claws make tree climbing possible, their angle also makes the descent an awkward job.

Cubs:

Kết quả hình ảnh cho does tiger climb tree

Tiger cubs willingly climb trees for about the first sixteen months of life and young tigers have been sighted following langur monkeys up into the trees in an effort to secure a feed. But after this age their increasing weight makes both ascent and descent difficult, and few tree branches have the needed strength to hold their weight.

Adults:

Adults seldom climb, but are quite capable of doing so; they may do this if being chased by dogs or when after prey. There have been occasions of men climbing trees to escape an attacking tiger, only to be killed when the tiger followed them up.
This does not mean tigers are willing or efficient climbers. On the contrary, they are not. The white Bengal and Amur tigers shown here are doing something quite unusual for tigers of their age.

Dragons are actually humans

We all know amazing animal facts that dragons apparently come from years and years ago. No-one is quite sure whether they exist or not, so the question is even if they did exist are they still alive now? They could come in any shape or form not neccesarily the way people describe them or imagine them, so it could be extremely difficult to identify them!

Mythical fire-breathing winged dragons are fictional and have never existed. As fiction, stories about dragons have been told since 4000 B.C.E

Given the previous account on how dragons might be more intelligent than humans it is possible dragons have disguised themselves or transmuted themselves into a human form.

This implies that dragons could be all around us, you might have even met one but you never realized it ! It is even possible I’m a dragon and I don’t know it yet (well I was born in the year 1988 which is the year of the dragon in the Chinese calender).

In many ancient scriptures and tales there are accounts of Dragons taking on a human form, even of dragon being trapped inside a humans body. In some occult societies it is also thought that perhaps humans who reached the highest levels of magic, intelligence or spirituality were able to transform themselves into dragons.

Many cockroaches can fly

Somehow, I suspect that the only thing worse than roaches on the floor (or bed) are roaches flying around the room! But I still love to know some animal facts about them, such as whether or not cockroaches can fly

Many of the more than 3,500 cockroach species in the world can fly. The flying capabilities of cockroaches vary according to the particular species, and sometimes sexual category, to which they belong. In Canada, the German cockroach is the most important and prevalent cockroach species in the country. Depending on the region, other significant pest species present are the American, brown-banded, oriental, smoky-brown, and wood varieties of cockroach. Though both males and females of the German cockroach have wings, they do not fly except for short downward gliding. Meanwhile, both sexes of the smoky-brown species of cockroach are strong fliers. Amongst the brown-banded and wood cockroaches, only the males enjoy flying capabilities. Though not regarded as true flyers, both male and female American cockroaches maintain the ability to glide through the air. Both genders of the oriental cockroach lack the capacity to fly. The Canadian cockroach species capable of flying are generally only able to remain in the air for short amounts of time.

Despite possessing four wings, each flying cockroach uses just a single pair for air travel. Thick and protective, the front pair of wings displays the same coloration as the body of the cockroach and rests against the back of the insect when not in use. The back pair of wings remains hidden and protected beneath the front pair until the cockroach takes flight. When preparing to fly, cockroaches lift the front wings to expose the back wings. The insects keep the front wings lifted while flying and move through the air by using the back pair. In contrast to the front pair, the back wings of cockroaches that fly are membranous, thin and clear.

Interesting information about ducks.

Read on and enjoy a variety of interesting information about ducks.

Pekin Duck - - Photo © marksjonathan
  1. All types of ducks are part of the bird family Anatidae, which also includes swans and geese. There are species of ducks found worldwide on every continent except Antarctica. Some duck species, such as the mallard, are found throughout the world, while others have very restricted ranges.
  2. A baby duck is called a duckling, and an adult male is a drake. An adult female duck is called a hen or a duck, and a group of ducks can be called a raft, team or paddling. Generic terms like bird, chick and flock also apply to ducks.
  3. All ducks have highly waterproof feathers as a result of an intricate feather structure and a waxy coating that is spread on each feather while preening. A duck's feathers are so waterproof that even when the duck dives underwater, its downy underlayer of feathers will stay completely dry. The uropygial gland produces that waxy oil that coats feathers so well, and many other birds also have the same gland.
  4. Ducks are precocial, which means that ducklings are covered with down and able to walk and leave the nest just a few hours after hatching. This helps protect the young chicks from predators, since they do not need to stay in the vulnerable nest area for long.
  5. A hen will lead her ducklings up to a half mile or more over land after hatching in order to find a suitable water source for swimming and feeding. As soon as a baby duck's down is dry after hatching, they will be able to swim.
  6. Male ducks have an eclipse plumage similar to females that they wear after the breeding season for about a month as their new feathers grow. During that month, they are completely flightless and more vulnerable to predators. At this time, many male ducks stay in isolated, remote areas or flock together for protection in numbers.
  7. Most duck species are monogamous for a breeding season but they do not mate for life. Instead, they will seek out new mates each year, seeking the healthiest, best mate who can help them pass on their genes to a new duckling generation.
  8. When constructing her nest, a hen will line it with soft down feathers she plucks from her own breast. This gives the eggs the best possible cushioning and insulation. Other duck nesting material includes grasses, mud, twigs, leaves and other plant material.
  9. Ducks are omnivorous, opportunistic eaters and will eat grass, aquatic plants, insects, seeds, fruit, fish, crustaceans and other types of food. Some ducks, such as mergansers, are more specialized in their dietary needs, but most ducks can adapt well to different food sources. This helps ensure they always have adequate food to eat.
  10. A duck's bill is specialized to help it forage in mud and to strain food from the water. A hardnail at the tip of the bill helps with foraging, and the lamellae, a comb-like structure on the sides of the bill, strains small insects and crustaceans from water.
